We ❤ Crispin Glover

The Dapper Gentleman

Crispin Glover. Most of us love him for playing Michael J. Fox’s dad, George McFly, in Back to the Future—and some of us, well, just love him.

Watching the men’s shows a couple of week’s ago, we couldn’t help but think of Mr. Glover—where was he in the parade of Hollywood actors that took over the runway at Prada? (Hello Jamie Bell, Tim Roth, Willem Defoe, Gary Oldman and Adrian Brody!!) He would’ve looked dapper in the Edwardian-inspired astrakhan-collar coats and creepy Lennon-meets-Coppala’s Dracula sunglasses. In fact, it wouldn’t be a stretch to imagine him in any of the outfits, since they seemed to mimic the costumes he wore in films like Willard and even Charlie’s Angles (as the shadowy Thin Man).

Of course, if we’re being 100% honest, it wasn’t just the men’s shows that made us think of Glover. This past weekend he was in Ottawa presenting his Big Slide Show, in which he narrates the eight different illustrated books he’s written, and we are just a tad heartbroken he didn’t make it down here.

So, in honour of the Big Slide Show, and because we haven’t talked       men’s wear here yet, we give you three outfits inspired by some of our favourite Glover characters, including his role (along side the never aging, always gorgeous Keanu Reeves) in River’s Edge and Willard.
